Things you can know about me.
I was born in Colombia, raised in Miami, and now live in Manchester, England. I perform as often as possible as a member of Takahashi’s Shellfish Concern -- a group in which abstract expressionist visual art is combined with experimental electronic-acoustic music to accentuate the similarities of both. This is the second such project I’ve undertaken where I’ve explored music and sound as subject, as well as explored image making as live performance. I will be pursuing an MFA this coming Fall of 2010 to develop this concept in an academic setting.
I’ve attended Florida International University and studied with Clive King and Richard Duncan, both of whom profoundly influenced my image making techniques and approaches to drawing. In 2005 I graduated as a cum-laude graduate with a Bachelors of Science degree in Art Education.
