I was born in Colombia, raised in Miami, and now live in Manchester, England. In Miami I attended Florida International University and studied with Clive King and Richard Duncan, both of whom profoundly influenced my image making techniques and approaches to art. In 2005 I graduated as a cum-laude graduate with a Bachelors of Science degree in Art Education.
Now in England, I try to perform as often as possible as a member of Takahashi’s Shellfish Concern -- a group in which abstract expressionist visual art is combined with experimental electronic-acoustic music to accentuate the similarities of both. This is the second such project I’ve undertaken where I’ve explored music and sound as subject, as well as explored image making as live performance. I’m married to Rodrigo Constanzo, who is a composer/musician, and is also a member of the aforementioned groups. I’m trying to learn how to play to viola and I’ll be pursuing an MFA in the near future.
