Takahashi’s Shellfish Concern
Takahashi’s Shellfish Concern combines abstract expressionist visual art with experimental electronic-acoustic music to accentuate the similarities of both during improvised exchanges. Angela Guyton and Rodrigo Constanzo create a new event that requires the audience to consider this merger of music and art as a single expression. Based in Manchester England, TSC performs as a trio with musician Anton Hunter across the UK. Below are images from performances and rehearsals.

failure was a group I was in between 2004 and 2006 in Miami, Florida. I was a member, along with Rodrigo Constanzo and Gilbert Kong. Below are images of works created during that time as well as performance shots. The works are much more figurative than my current work. The concept of music + art was brand new to me and I was trying to figure out how to approach it. The musicians themselves also approached the music much more as set songs, though their structures still allowed for improvisation. It is the precursor to Takahashi’s Shellfish Concern, my current performance art group, of which Rodrigo and I are members along with Anton Hunter.
